I look forward to checking out Blondie's posts every day. Hope everything is well for her.
I awoke to a gorgeous sunrise and recall my mother reciting "Red sky in the morning, Sailors take warning. Red sky at night, Sailors delight." Hope this beautiful red sky is not indicative of another snowstorm brewing. . . . and then I walked into the kitchen for my morning cuppa . . . DH had hung his winter coat and outside paraphernalia on the back of a kitchen chair. It was in shadow due to this gorgeous sunrise and truly caught me off guard. I thought there was a strange person sitting at our table.
Dear EM (6yo GD) called before 9 to tell me she had a tummy ache . . and then the truth comes out. She really, really, really wanted to spend the day at Nana's house so she could finish a very special project she started last week. She thought if she cried tummy ache she probably could get out of doing her schoolwork this morning. Drats - she was found out.
I've decided to hand-tie my lap quilt for my DH's favorite aunt. I'm using a fiberfil for 'batting' because that's what I had that fit, she lives in very cold NY - and she's just turned 90 YO. Besides, it will help cover up that annoying pucker that showed up only AFTER the seams were sewn.
Have a wonderful, bountiful day and may the sun keep shining (not only outside, but in your heart as well).
