    Happy St. Patrick's Day!

    Good Morning All,

Well, the kids are headed back to IN. We had a nice visit yesterday. Jim offered to go get my lumber, but I couldn't leave because A1A was supposed to come help me find the serial #s on my tesla batteries. Oh well, their truck was in the shop, apparently that electrician was busy waiting on it all day. Maybe today? Who knows!

I did manage to get in my sewing room. Knocked out a Secret Santa gift, shhhhhh, don't tell anyone! I have the directions for finishing the Jolly Bar Sampler, the Riley Blake Designer Challenge block for this week and the Sewcialite 2 pattern's all printed out and ready to go. I'm ready to get back to work! Now to dig out the cutting mats, and get the dining room table back to normal (not for eating).

Mike's off today, not sure if there is anything else we need to take care of, but I guess I'll find that out later. Have a great day!

Prayers for those in need, for healing touches, for comfort and peace, for grace and mercy. Prayers of thanksgiving for all of our many blessings.

    Good Morning!

I had a time getting Sandy out the door after she had breakfast this morning. It's raining and even though she is a water dog she hates rain. Silly dog. Maybe the rain will wash away some of this pollen. I quilted until I ran out of thread yesterday. Hopefully Amazon will deliver it today. I am not sure what I will work on next. Time for more coffee.

Have a nice St Patrick's Day!

Good morning and Happy St. Patty's day. I will make a corned beef in the oven with cabbage and veggies. DH is still under the weather and I think now it is my turn. Throat is a little raw and as I recall that is how his started.
I will bind the fan today and then take pictures. The backing turned out beautiful. It was worth the extra 6 hours of piecing. Bright and cheerful
Looks like a sunny day. Yesterday got up to 60.
I sent flowers to Joy and a PM hoping to hear if they arrived. I sure hope they noticed the delivery and they didn't freeze on the step.
Just a few more days to spring. All in all winter hasn't been too bad its just that now its time to move forward...right.?

I just found Terry's PM about the flowers. Mystery solved as to who sent them. The gal who delivered them rang the doorbell & handed them to DH. He did the best he could at arranging them in a vase. We are enjoying them.

      Good Morning

Very rainy St Patrick’s here. Rained all night & supposed to keep up tilllate afternoon. It will melt some snow as temps are well above freezing. We have had 2 beautiful sunny, mild days, but tonight it turns cold & squalls return for the weekend.

Pretty quiet week here. I did make the long drive to Costco on Wednesday. We hadn’t been there since early January so I needed to stock up. Colin didn’t come so I didn’t eat out like we do when together. Yesterday I worked at getting our tax info together. Colin will drop off at accountant’s next week when he has an appointment in that town.

I did get a few minutes of sewing yesterday. I wanted to check seam direction as I sewed block. I think I have my problem figured out. Today I will finish tax stuff & clean mold off screened windows that has formed through the winter. We try to keep humidity in house up as Colin has nasal problems when air is dry. Unfortunately this results in condensation on windows that starts mold. I planned to do this job Monday but now it’s Friday so I better get it done today.

      Enjoy your day.

        Good Morning Everyone,

Happy St. Patrick's Day. No plans to celebrate here.

We will be going for groceries sometime today and I have laundry to do. May do some cleaning too. I would like to get my spring cleaning done before it gets too nice out. That way I can be outside and not worry about it.

I hope you all have wonderful and safe day.

Top of the morning to all,

Hubby is always reminded that he took his Canadian citizen oath on St.Patty's day in the '70s. So we usually try to have a special meal, not sure what as I don't feel like cooking today. It's above zero but a cloudy day, expecting rain, freezing maybe, light snow. The 'skimmer' is here to level out the wall against the vanity -- the top is installed but you can't bend quartz to almost 1/2" gap. We knew this would be a problem, so an easy fix. Next another worker is supposed to come by to install the undermount sink (so expecting fumes from that). This aft, the plumber will connect faucet. Then all that remains is to sand wall, paint it, put up mirror, move stuff into vanity and we can use bathroom.

Yesterday I had a massage, she worked out some good knots. I ran some errands for essentials. I also pressed the 190+ blocks that I took apart of a UFO on the "free" table at guild. The blocks were marked for 1/4" with pencil, not sure it will come off when washed. In any case, I am going to square them all to smallest denomination. I also pressed more of same fabric -- it's Laura Ashley fabrics -- probably why I was drawn to it. Loved those in the 80s. This is definitely vintage looking. I worked on the pink string blocks, works much better with stick glue than applique glue (all I had).

I am keeping Joy and Glen in my thoughts and hope they continue to improve.

There is hope for spring -- yesterday, the red, black and gray squirrels were out and about. We also had about 7-9 young cardinals in the yard, and a few other small birds.

Enjoy your day and don't fall for those leprechaun tricks.

Joy -- cardinals are the birds that my GF missed the most when she moved to BC. I had not realized they didn't go there. We have a lot of blue jays and other birds that attend our feeders and bathe in our bird baths and fountain. We love it, as do the cats (from inside).

Happy St Pat’s Day! It’s quite cold and rainy this morning with high winds. We have to make the trek to take Sugar to the vet for another shot this morning. I wish Jeff would take her and let me stay home with Maggie.

We finished up all of our leftovers for dinner yesterday so I will have to cook today. As cold as it is I may make biscuits and sausage gravy. That would be easy, filling and tasty.

UPS brought the Amish black fabric yesterday so I cut some sashing strips and sewed a little. The verdict is out on how well I like the fabric. It feels thin to me and the center fold was wonky.

That’s it for me for now…slow morning. Have a great day All. 🐝

Happy St. Patrick's Day!! Top of the mornin' to you all.

Car troubles still this morning. Car wouldn't start. Les got a boost and off to the garage. The part they ordered didn't do the trick, apparently some other sensor. OYE!! I would be telling them keep the car until you find what is causing the battery draining, give me a loaner for the weekend, see you Monday. Yesterday I did get to town, Maizyn got her hair cut, we got stuff we needed, take out for lunch. Today we are packing up and taking her back to her Daddy's. Her mom hasn't even been in touch to see how the week has been going or when is she going home. I am expecting her to contact me either. It's just sad. Her Dad, on the other hand, has called every day as he misses her terribly. That's why we are going back a little earlier. We may or may not stay the weekend, depends on the weather. I went through my closet and gave her 5 coats. One is a really long one which she loves, it goes right down to her ankles. She is wearing that one home, lol!!

            Have a great day everyone.

              Happy St Patricks day.
Monique our battery drained during covid lacking of usage the weather was fairly damp, so took alternator off removed the electrics regulator on back of alternator to renew, then sanded the inside the rotor air gap between stator, minds a bit blank today on proper names. it solved the issue. there was no battery light on dash.

A year later car suddenly cut out came up with all sorts of sensors on the scan. if wiggled back of ignition electrical part it started, although to find that was lucky to find, had to think what may of happened knew recently before happened that himself had vacuumed the car, to do a thorough job had moved the steering adjustment for up and down, they said was not the electric ignition part, their computer said I do not know, we asked them to replace the electric ign part and it solved that issue. hope your garage find your issue soon electrical issues can be baffling.🤔
              If in doubt wiggle it🤭

You have given them far more patience than I would have. It's the lack of peace of mind that would bother me.

            Morning all,

Happy St. Patrick's Day! Sunday the family will get together for the corn beef dinner. Today will be Irish soda bread baking day, yum, the house will smell so good.

Yesterday we attended a wake, my daughter-in-laws father passed away suddenly. They had been married 53 years and always together so I can only imagine how hard this will be for her.

I got all my fabric cut and supplies packed for a class tomorrow and sitting by the door ready to go. It is a pleasure not having to take my embroidery machine to any classes as it is so heavy. The owner of the store always tells me I can use the machine in the store so I really look forward to that as it is one of the models I 'm looking at for my next machine so it' s nice to get to work on it and familiarize myself with it.

My informed delivery says I have a package arriving today. Always fun opening sewing things!

Time to get in the kitchen, I 'm all caffeinated and ready to bake! 🍀😊

Mmmmm, I love to smell bread baking! I’m not baking bread this week or next week. I have had some requests for my sour dough starter so I am giving away the discard instead of baking when I feed it. I’m also trying to get rid of the 3 extra pounds I have gained since I started making this bread again!

I'm looking to trade in/or sell my Elna Expressive 900. I'm looking at the BabyLock Meridian or Janome 550e, a embroidery only machine. I use the Janome 500 at my quilt shop which I really like and the 550e is just a step above. The Medridian I love the advanced technology on it but their are no dealers here for support.

            Good morning,

Katrina, Hope you have a great sew day with all those projects. Did they finish the wall repair by the road-way?

It is cloudy here this morning but no rain expected. It will be a relaxing day for us. The sewing room is calling me and perhaps I can finish cutting the table runner fabrics.

I made all the run around errands yesterday. Climbing in and out of my truck 16 times counts as exercise in my book. The freezer is stocked again for a rainy day.

St Patrick's Day was my Mom's favorite day. We always had a strategy for corned beef dinner from the local diner. I will take daisy flowers with a shamrock flag to the cemetery later this morning. DH and I will have pastrami sandwiches for our dinner tonight. Easy and quick for us.

            Happy St Patrick's Day!

The fencing in Phil's yard from the ramp is finished. I don't think Nori will do anything to the fences behind her house. She doesn't have a dog to keep in, so it's not important to her. Disappointing, but Jim and Mike are both thinking maybe it would be better if I just put up a fence on my side. I'm thinking they're not going to have to pay for it! lol and my house upkeep budget is going to the front yard this year. The canoe works for keeping Gabby in, so that's what it will be for a while.

Won't homeowner insurance pay for that fence even if the guy in the car's insurance won't. Fences cost a lot of money. The car owner should have to cover that.

Good morning. Monique, as much trouble as you keep having with that car, hopefully in the end it will feel like new from all the parts being replaced.

I posted late yesterday so won't bore you. It was a day trip to the TX Quilt Museum with friends. This morning i am meeting other charity bee members to cut batting to go with the bundles of tops and backings. Not sure that I will get to sew any today since I pick up DGD again for her skating lessons tomorrow.

              Good morning!

We're starting off around 50 with some rain. Temps are supposed to start dropping early this afternoon. I will probably save the LQS for tomorrow and go the local Malley's (chocolate shop) instead. Gone are the days when I would buy all sorts of Easter goodies. My sister manages her diabetes with her diet but best not to tempt her too much. One small bunny and a Malley Oh will do her just fine. Next time I go to the grocery store I will buy her some sugar free cookies. There is one brand that she really likes -- Voortman. They are a little pricey, but what isn't these days.

I started working on a small project and want to spend some time in the sewing room. I also need to get the panel quilt sandwiched. I should make time for laundry and the usual chores, too.

              Have a wonderful day!

Good morning! Yesterday was a full day for me. Started out with picking up my former neighbor from our old neighborhood to go to a funeral Mass for dear old friend. The friend who passed was in 24/7 care for a very long time. Her caregiver was at the funeral, she and our friend who passed were together for 2-1/2 years! The lady who passed was another dear friend’s cousin. When we lived in Cuba, Mo. in a community around Indian Lake, we would gather at that friend’s house, sometimes as couples, and other times just the ladies. Good times with good friends! They had a luncheon after the Mass and burial, so we had some time to visit.

Then my adopted family sister and her kids and I went to dinner and a show. Dinner was in a cute little restaurant in a repurposed old time car dealership building. They fixed it up to make a beautifully Art Deco inspired room, and the food was great! Then on to the show, where many of the singers were ladies we all knew, all terrific singers, and very entertaining! So it was a good day for me for sure!

Need to get serious about working on that T shirt quilt today. As much as I love corned beef and cabbage, it will probably be a Rueben sandwich for me today. Stores are sold out of corned beef. Hope you all have a great St. Patrick’s day!

I had a pit bull once named Bandit. We got rid of him when he chewed the whole end of our living room sofa off one day when I was at work. It was the final straw to a litany of destruction.

Yes, I love my little buddy with me. My friend always says to me "What does dog spell backwards?" God, then she'd say, there is a reason they are your best friend. I always thought that was cute. I want to show you all my bunny wall hanging I finished but I guess I have to do a new post since I don't know how to attach to this.

Good morning. Just a quick pop in to say Happy St. Patrick's Day. We are headed out to run a bunch of errands and go to a local nursery for their annual flower show. We put the Shepherd's Pie together yesterday so it is all ready to put in the oven at dinnertime.

Monique, so sorry that car is giving you so much trouble but happy you are having such a great week with your girl. Terry, I hope you and hubby start feeling better.

Well hubby is ready to head out the door so I'd better scoot. I will check in later to see what shenanigans you all have gotten up to on the fine St. Party's Day.
