MSQC Withdrawals!

Hello ladies! I'm so happy to be writing this... I just got out of the hospital after a surprise 3 day stay and can't tell you how awful the MSQC withdrawals were! I had what turned out to be nothing more than a very strange case of bronchitis (no cough, no fever, no congestion) but was so unlike bronchitis that they insisted on testing me for blood clots, pulmonary edema, and heart failure. I'm happy to say that it's just bronchitis, but what a lousy way to start the year, using up nearly all my sick time at work and a good part of my fabric budget for awhile, I suspect.

But oh well, I have MSQC back again! My DH teased me about how soon I "checked in" after getting home.

Just thought I'd share how important all of you are :-).

I'm so glad you are okay and back here with us! I bet that was a scare but so happy it is just bronchitis - even though that can be serious too.

Oh, Deb. Glad you are okay, home and recovering from missing MSQC. I had my first doctor's office visit yesterday and there was a med student working with my regular physician. The student came in and said something to the effect that 'I'm here to see how you are doing since your recent hospitalization . . . ' and I just about had a heart attack. I didn't think I had been in the hospital for quite a while and thought maybe I was losing my memory really quick. Seems he had been reading the chart for the patient in the next room.

Take care of those knees as long as you can. No one told me until I had mine replaced that getting down to pull weeds, bending over to care for my own feet, or picking things up off the floor would be next to impossible. Kneeling is like kneeling on buckets full of nuts and bolts. But, I'd never go back to the pain. Just stand it as long as you can.

Oh my goodness. So glad you are home and on the mend. At least it is nothing major.As far as the extra tests always better safe than sorry I say. Take care of yourself and welcome back.

I'm so sorry Deb that you're sick. Bronchitis can be a very dangerous thing. I used to work as a inhalation therapist. Take good care of yourself so you get better. Hugs, Jan

Hi Deb. I just figured you were being a sewing wizard, lost within mountains of scraps.

Glad that you are okay, but no fun in the hospital. And yes, I do understand the need to check in often! This place is my own secret addiction. Well, not so secret, since my hubs always knows where he can find me if I am sitting quietly for a spell.

Oh, Deb, I'm glad you are feeling better. Take care in this chilly weather and be sure to take all your meds. When I had bronchitis the doctor called it 'junky lungs', pretty descriptive, huh.

I know about what you went though, my daughter has always had upper respiratory problems ever since she was 3 months old. And it is scary.
