Bald Eagle Attacks Drone In Michigan

Here's a story about a Bald Eagle here in Michigan that attacked a drone that was being flown to document shoreline erosion damage in the Upper Peninsula.
(A $950 Drone no less!.....and no I don't have a clue about the cost of drones at all LOL! )

Oh well, I guess the state will have to eat that one.

There's been a bald eagle nest in Pittsburgh with a camera showing it since 2014. I watch every year from the time the eggs are laid until the eaglets fledge. They are amazing birds!

Dove you're right, they are amazing bird. A couple of years ago, I posted a link to a gal's YouTube channel that lived in Una Alaska/Dutch Harbor, Alaska, and she made several videos about the Bald Eagle and it was VERY educational. I learned (or re-learned maybe) a lot about the Bald Eagle from Pam Aus. I didn't remember that Bald Eagles are born completely brown in color and don't get their "white" heads
and yellow beaks until they are older.
Pam also had videos of the Eagles landing on the deck of her house. Her cats became used to the birds.....and the eagles didn't make attempts to hurt the cats either, LOL. Ms. Aus also had a fox hanging around her yard too that she name "Todd The Fox." Her videos are great. Pam also mentioned in one of her videos that she helped (or was in charge of) the Bingo in town and one day she put the Bingo Box (with all the Bingo game things in it) on the top of the roof of her car, and this eagle swooped in and took the box. It was bright red in color.
If I can find the link to Ms. Aus videos, I'll edit this comment and link it here!

This is just ONE of Pam's videos. Somehow her videos were "stolen". It seems she no longer has a channel....(and maybe she actually gave the rights of the videos to someone on YouTube.

It must be the week for bald eagle attacks. This one happened in northern Minnesota.

          Oh My Goodness!
I am really terrified of birds and I probably would have had a heart attack and died. I am deathly afraid of birds. I believe the fear was
transferred from my mom to me.

There's a man in Utah that helps Bald Eagles when sick or injured. He'd know for sure why this young eagle attacked like this. Here's his website :
          (which is very interesting BTW)

Here's another video from Southwest Wildlife Foundation of Utah

I donate to this cause.....he has a Amazon Store where you can buy items to help this man and the foundation. I donate food (dead mice) each month.
