I don't know about you but baby its cold outside. And in my house! I'm under 3 blankets and a quilt! Its a dry cold and I need to put some steam in my house to raise the humidity
level. I'll get to it when I can't stand it anymore or have to start the wash. That will help too. Hope everyone had a very merry Christmas.
Trish did the snow miss you? I know parts of PA got 18 inches to 2 ft. Poor people everything is at a standstill.
Mass got hit as well. And NY city. We just got the ccccold.

Good morning Jan and everyone else! Haven't really been outside, but the wind sure is blowing. The cat refused to go outside. No snow here - unbelievable - guess it was too far to the east. YEAH for me though cause I get to take Odie to the airport. An earlier flight to where he is headed was cancelled so we'll just have to keep an eye on the delays and cancellations for his 5:28 PM time slot.
I was waiting for DH to download some photos for me to post with my post here, but he's fooling around with his game on the computer so I guess I'll just have to post twice today!

Howdy do friends!

I can see I am in good company with all the cold weather! It started snowing Christmas morning before noon and by the next morning we had 6 inches. That made this the first time since 1947 that it snowed on Christmas here in our part of the state. Yesterday was time to try to shovel out. Our drive-ways are the worst and since we live quite rural, you can imagine what our road looks like. We lost phone and internet connection yesterday afternoon, thank the good lord it is back on now.

I'm still staying with Mom at night. Just when I think I will break the news to her that I am going to be at my own home I just can't leave her alone yet. I am so very thankful to have a hubby that loves my Mom the way he does. He has so much compassion that HE is not ready to leave her alone yet. So, I am still sleeping in Daddy's bed, and coming home for a bit during the day. Today, I was able to get out to the Joann's with my sister. We made out pretty good. If any of you ladies make cloth dolls or ornaments that require polyfill, check out your Joann's. Their buffalo snow was 1.79 a bag. I want to scarf up each bag! It packs so nicely into doll bodies without lumping up. I purchased 5 bags and want at least 10 more. LOL.

Yesterday afternoon I played around with a block I had saved from online site. https://www.storesonlinepro.com/file...%20pattern.pdf
I like the block a lot and think it will make up quick and easy. I need to try to get Mom's sewing area set up if I am going to be there many more nights!

Trish, I know you will be feeling the ache when Odie leaves again. How happy I am that you have had so much of his precious time. And I am certain he appreciates home in a more special way as well! I am not sure if the base got snow but they sure did in Northern Ga! I reckon all the snow that came up from the south headed right up to Jan in NY! Jan, could you hear me holler out Merry Christmas over the winds?

I have sure missed being in here recently - I am hoping that my days will loosen up here directly. Once again, I thank each of you for your friendship and prayerful support. My arms are around each of you with warm hugs of appreciation with a grateful heart.

Its cold here also. I had to wear my stocking cap all day at work, brrrr. Im so glad to be home now. Im gonna enjoy whats left of the night since I wont be up much longer. I've been up since 4 am. Im so ready for bed, but its to early. Blondie you do have a good husband. It helps you because he knows where you need to be and thats by your moms side, she is so blessed to have you there.
Trish I'm glad ya got to enjoy Odie for alittle while longer. Tell em hi and good luck from us gals here. Its good that the snow missed ya.

Yes Blondie, I heard you. we got about 2 inches of snow for Christmas. Today we got 6 inches. Love it! I hurt like heck but I love the snow! The wind however is another matter. That can go back to were it came from. brr it was only 3 degrees today and the windchill was about 10 below.
Trish I'm also glad you had Odie with you for the holidays or for anytime as far as that goes. He's in my prayers for his safety and his next homecoming.
Blondie, Your Mom is a lucky woman to have you and your hubby. LL sounds like my guy. He was right there for both my Mom and Dad. I will love him forever for that. He is a big man with a bigger heart and quite a Teddy Bear. He also gives good hugs Paula.
