Good Morning!
Can you see my breath fogging up the monitor? Ye gadzooks, is it ever cold. I spent most of the day in the basement yesterday, feeding the woodstove. My back was aching so much last night, hubs had to rub some cream in, plus I took some ibuprofen. I dread the trip downstaiirs again as I know I will be feeding the beast again. Our snow is mostly melted but there is still plenty lying around, as the old folks say, it is lying around waiting for more. I hope not. Seems as if the whole eastern seaboard is captive in the cold - even down in Florida where my company went to escape the cold. Poor dears.
I managed to make a few more ornament gifts and a few cute teeny pincushions. I am going to try to get some good pics to post. I am officially the worst photographer. Wish I had JR's skills with the photo programs.
Lola, I am happy that you were able to retain the health insurance for now. And wow, you really were on a roll yesterday. All that activity kept you warm!
Shauna, glad you made it home safe and sound!
Trish, I would be just like you, let everyone pat Odie on the back and hope everyone thanks him for giving service to our country.
I've been looking through quilt patterns to try a few new blocks - some paper piecing, some just cut and pieced. Over at quilt blocks galore are so many patterns to drool over but one that I like the look of is: http://www.quilterscache.com/T/ThatT...hingBlock.html I don't think I have enough 30's fabric but gosh do I have the scraps to make it look interesting. That may wind up being one of my projects for the next year.
While my cousin was here last week, she brought magazines with her and I am looking through one in particular for smaller projects. I am always on the look out for small useful items to mess around with.
Hubs is dropping big hints about what do I want for Christmas. Silly man. I told him to wrap himself up in a big bow and sit under the tree on Christmas morning. Other than that, gift certificates work really well, too. lol.
off to feed the beast. oh, my aching back. getting too old for this stuff!
