    Re: yeah monday

Sorry to hear you are feeling yucky Gina. I'll send ya some prayer angels. Lots of them! Want you better soon so you can get to your projects so we can see pictures.

Just hanging around here today getting wash caught up and last minute paperwork and bill stuff since I have to go back to work tomorrow. The long holiday weekend was nice to have off. I know many others are not so fortunate.

Am trying to keep my excitement contained - but can't help it - I SEE MY ODIE ON THURSDAY AND BRING HIM HOME ON FRIDAY!!!!!!! I am ready to leave - last week - so the days are dragging.

Hope everyone has a great day!
    Hugs,

Hi from the little village of Nakusp. Yep on the road again with work. Gina I hope you are feeling better. Saunda hope the septic tank isn't that expensive. Trish I am so happy for you...Odie will be home before you know it and you can spoil him rotten!
Good news. The furnance is fixed! My hubby is so handy. I am so blessed. After numerous calls and some really helpful free phone advice my husband took out the motor went to a salvage yard and found another for $75.00 and fixed the furnace himself. Work great. While he was doing the repairs I bundled up drank tea and finished one rag quilt. That night we went to a scottish gathering and danced the night away and came home to a nice warm home. We wven one the door prize!
Thank you everyone for your well wishes. So much appreciated!

Have great day everone...will check in later. Ps they have a smalll fabric store here I am going to check it out!

Aww Gina I'm so sorry you feel so bad, it sounds like what I had a couple weeks back and it was not very nice at all. I hope you get to felling better very soon.

Shauna I am extremely pleased you were able to get your furnace going, definitely not the time of year to have it break.

Trish I'm so pleased for you that you will see Odie soon, I'm sure the next few days will take so long to go, but they will, just stay busy and they will pass quicker. Give him a huge hug from all of us...after you have finished hugging him for yourself.

Wishing everyone a lovely day wherever you are.
        Lynn

Good Monday Evening to All. I will say a prayer for ya Gina.

Shauna im so glad you have heat!!! Its great to have a handy hubbie. Congrats on the prize!

Hi Lynn, I hope your Monday is going fab for ya!

I love having long weekends, its the Monday morning that follows thats not my favorite thing. Atleast it went fast. Bummer though. I have to hang up my welding helmet for awhile. They want to put me in an area the is better for me right now, ugh. I loved to weld, crazy huh!! But thats what Ive done for the last 12 yrs. Thats what I know. I guess I shouldnt whine, and be greatful I still have a job. My new job is in packing the parts we make. Boring, fast paced but boring. O did I mention it was boring. Ugh! ok enough whining. Atleast you all got the tame down version. Hubby got the full force version. Good thing my mom wasnt around with a bar of soap, lol.

Well all have a great night all my quilting sissys!!!!

Miss ya Jan, big hugs and lots of love to ya gal!
Have a blessed day in HIS name!

Hi Everyone, I haven't been on much today. Had Laundry to do and I made christmas presents for my quilting group. We are having a Christmas party on Friday. I can't tell what I made though some of them lurk up here, right girls? Thought I'd forget didn't you?
I'll tell you all after Friday. It's really no big deal. Money, as we all know, is scarce. But they will love me anyway.
Shauna I'm so happy you have heat. Right back at you Paula. And Gina hon, how are you feeling? Trish I think I'm on pins and needles for you. Prayers are still with Odie until he is back in your loving arms. And when he has to leave again, I'll be praying even harder if that's possible. So glad he did good on his crucible, I had a feeling he would.
Laura how did the trip north go? Are you home again? I haven't heard from you, I'm getting worried.
Love you all, Paula write to me private. Love, Jan

              Re: yeah monday

Well, today is ending on a sad note. A very sad note. My big guy - Shadow - is gone. He was a huge, gray cat. Beautiful coat on him. He was my retreiver - brought things to us that we threw at him. He brought us sticks. He sat in peoples cars. He loved to go for rides. He was actually just like a dog. He loved to be vacuumed. He purposely knocked things off of dressers with his paws so he could lay down there. He was about 23 pounds. He was 9 years old. He was Odie's cat. He talked about him in all his letters. Odie was the only lap Shadow would sit on. He layed on my sewing machine alot - guess he figured I sewed too much and didn't give him enough attention.

We don't know what happened. It doesn't look like he got hit by a car or got into a fight with anything. He must have ate or drank something. He was just laying there down by the Spring House. We are in shock that he is gone.
I don't think I'll be sleeping very well tonight. I dread telling Odie. At least he'll be home in 4 days and can say goodbye to him.

              Hugs,

Oh Trish, I am sorry to hear about Odie's cat. Sometimes we don't know what gets them. He may have even just had a heart attack. 9 isn't young anymore, and he sounded huge! I am sure he will be missed and that spot in your heart will be sore for awhile. From the sounds of things he didn't suffer, which can be a comfort.

Shauna: Glad to hear that your husband was able to fix the furnace. A little "Thank You" prayer to the angels on the other end of the phone who helped him find the "fix-it" solutions.

Gina: I hope your cold gets better soon. It sounds like you are doing all you can to help it along.

Ugh, the septic tank problem does not sound like fun. I hope you can find a thrifty solution for that.

I managed to get one of the Christmas presents finished. Only about a million more to go. I have the flannel in the wash for my brother's quilt. I'll try to get photos of the softies tomorrow. I have to put the ridge bumps & teeth on the crocodile tonight. Oh, he might need some eyes too!

                  Take care!

Trish I'm so sorry about your cat Shadow. Odie will be heart broken as you are too. Shadow used to sleep on your sewing machine reminds me of our Sam. He would lay on the needle bed of my knitting machine to get my attention. And he had a favorite chair and if anyone sat in it he would go to the door and ask to go out. When you got up to let him out he would run back to the chair and leave you standing at the door. Too funny! Sam was a big black cat that just came to the door one day and said I'm moving in. He brought us things too all the time. Mice, rabbits, and good grief one day a grass snake! I never knew what to expect from him. I'm so sorry for you and Odie. That your heart will hurt I'm sure but the memories will be good ones to fall back on. Love you, Jan
