    IT"S FRIDAY!

Hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving. I understand it is Black Friday. In Canada we have the equivalant called Boxing Day. For us it comes the day after Christmas. Too crazy for my blood. At one time you could get great deals but so many places have "boxing week" now. Too commercial for my taste. Yours is at a better time though if you want to get some deals for Christmas.
Our weather warmed up but with that came SNOW! We are to get some everyday except Sun. I am so glad we got the winter tires on early!
Sad news! My sewing space has been reduced to a closet. Yes it is true my sewing table is now in the spare room closet. Not working very well. My cutting table is now a built in dresser. Not working well either. So after the holidays I will have to do some replanning until then I will muttle through. Still have to finish my rag quilts. Does this mean I am a closet quilter....Tonight I am off to pick up baking supplies...out of town on business next week so I want to get a jump on things.
Oh we are going to a Scottish Ceilidh tomorrow so that will be fun...no haggis...YEAH
Well I have gibber jabbed enough ...Have a great day everyone.
    Hugs and blessings around!

    Re: IT"S FRIDAY!

I think today could be likened to "boxing" day sometimes! I remember when Cabbage Patch dolls came out and all the fights that broke out!

I don't go to the sales. I did a couple of times with my mom when they still lived here, but I mostly stood around and yawned and watched people go crazy.

Well it's cold here-it was 28 degrees this morning! On Wednesday the high was in the 80s. We are supposed to warm back up-thank goodness.

    Have a great Friday!

      Good Morning!

I hope you all had a good Thanksgiving. If you are out shopping I hope you scored the deals you were after, without suffering bodily injury!
We had a good day. I spoke with my grandparents (Dad's side) in OK. They sounded pretty good and had a houseful. It made me miss them horribly, but we had a good time at my Aunt's (Mom's side) with all of our family from around here. It was a much shorter drive too!
I will stop by the fabric insane asylum on my way to house paint for a friend. I have a couple of coupons and want a thing or two for Christmas presents for my sister who knits. I hope to be able to resist the call of the $1.30/yd flannel, but it makes such cute sleep pants!
      Take care!

Good morning everyone! Had a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and friends.

Our "black Friday" sounds like "boxing" to me. I really try so hard not to go out shopping today. Too crowded for my taste. I did get online and get the daily deal. It looked sooooo pretty.

Hope everyone has a blessed day!

          Hi Ladies
Just getting home from work. I sure hate to work the day after Thanksgiving or Christmas. Not enough time to enjoy. And yes, I agree, sounds like a "boxing day" here for shoppers. I have only shopped once in my life on Black Friday and once on the day after Christmas. That was enough for me. I don't do well in crowds. I am a catalog shopper and now an internet shopper. LOL.
Shauna, had to giggle over the closet quilter. Hope things get back in order for you soon enough.

Our out of towners will be arriving Sunday evening. I look forward to seeing them. My good man tackled the junk room almost entirely by himself. He deserves an extra hug for that one. I've had my hands full with cooking and cleaning and working - I am so tickled. I don't know where he put it all. I am afraid to open a closet, hehehe

          Have a great evening, ladies.

Oh but just once I would like to experience a Black Friday. Just once. I hope everyone had a great day yesterday and didn't eat too much! Sally: I feel bad for your sewing space. What are you doing? Renovating? I am excited to say that my sewing space is being moved to the basement! My son is moving out of his sister's house and getting his own place with his girl friend. So he's taking all his stuff with him and leaving me with a sewing place! Yay! This way if I move down there real quick he won't be able to come back. lol All I have to do is get the wood burning fireplace replaced with a gas one and put up a couple of flourescent lights and I'll be good to go! Well a few shelves here and there too! I will now have room for my double space cutting tables and my old huge desk that holds my sewing machine. Yay! I will even have room for friends to come sew with me. I will miss the sunlight in the spare bedroom but you can't have it all I guess. Happy quilting everyone! Enjoy those turkey casseroles!

            Quilty hugs,
            Pinky
