    Re: Thursday Nov 4th

It's beautiful here today! It's supposed to get to 18 degrees here. Whoo hoo! I still have a chance to clean windows and finish the yard work before it's supposed to snow next week. Won't get any quilting done today I fear. Off to Calgary tonight to visit the hubby and some quilt shops tomorrow. I just finished a 4 day course to make a French braid quilt. Didn't get it done but had a good time. The best group of ladies they are. And only $40 for the whole course!
    Have a great day everyone.

Sorry you broke your sewing machine Sweetie, can you get it fixed locally?
It's been a grey misty day and that mist is ice cold. It's in the forty's so not real cold yet. It's supposed to go into the 20's tonight. I've been doing books and my back hurts so I'm going to take a break. Hugs to all, Jan

Afternoon gang. Know how I mentionrd that yesterday I seemed to be breaking things....yep thats right broke another thing. This time the computer. Have to use the one at work. I was of all things looking up how to oil my sewing machine when I was redirected to a site that my anti virus didn't catch and now no computer until my hubby can fix it or it goes to the shop. Never did get the info I wanted however I did clean my machine and wow it is so quiet and smoother running. Surprized I didn't break that too!. Then I was late for work this morning...blame the quilting addition. Was upstairs happily sorting pieces and forgot the time. Only 2 mins late but still...
On a good note our weather I really nice today. Hubby got most of the leaves raked yesterday so only a bit to do in the back yard and I am going to the fabric store tonight. OOOOO also we are going away this weekend... antiquing and visting my 96 year old cousin who still is vibrant and lives on her own. Her motto in life is always look for something good from everyday so you don't only have regrets!

                  Hi Ladies

Been so nuts I didn't remember to sign in this morning. Tossed and turned all night long, strange dreams, got up and decided it was time to have a heart to heart with the Lord. I have had NO peace about the move to this other salon. After cleaning our hearts out the past few days, I finally told the other gal who is planning to move with me that I just couldn't do it. It isn't a good fit for me and I am the kind of gal who goes with her gut feeling most of the time. At least, it works for me. She said she felt the same way, so this lady who owns the shop got three and half days of cleaning out for free. I felt better immediately about the decision. We still need to find a place soon, so I am asking y'all for prayer for direction, wisdom and peace.

Saundra, I am so sorry about the computer. I have done that on searches and just get so TICKED that people are mean enough to put bugs on stuff. I hope that they get BED BUGS from hell-o kitty claws!

Laura, haven't clicked on that link yet; will do later on. Glad that Rodney is getting you down that mountain. I be askeered of those mountains in the fog for sure!

Hope all the other ladies kicked the gray blues! This type of weather early in the season seems to do that to a lot. My sis suffers terribly from winter blues. I told her I would slap it out of her this year. I try to find the beauty in everything, although there are days it is really searching for that silver lining!

Okay, off to get caught up on the reading here.

                    Re: Thursday Nov 4th

Ladies, Guess what? I signed up for the Dresden block swap and could not find a ruler locally so I was getting quite worried.
My G feeling told me to just stop by a local fabric store anyway and I found one after they told me they did not sell anything like that! Here's the good thing I only paid 3.59 for it. How awesome is that! I tell you that made my day . I originally went to shop for fabric my girls were with me and I took them where they wanted to go first. Then they didn't want to be patient and let me shop for fabric It felt like every minute they were asking " Mom can we please leave now". I felt rushed so I did not buy fabric today. I did learn a lesson next time the place the girls want to go to will be our last stop instead of the place I want to go to. I'm ready to start cutting my pieces for the new block swap now. Now for my fabric....

Blondie, I'll say prayers for you to find the right spot for your shop. As for your sister, tell her to make a light box. They do that in Alaska for people who get the blues from too much darkness. It works good. I noticed working in my husband's office that I felt better from all the florescence in his lights. You can make a box with 3 lights in it and it works great for people who get depressed easy. People use them in the winter. Just a thought.
                      Hugs, Jan

You know Jan, my sis and I have been discussing this very thing. She would like to get another Ott type of light; the one she has is great for her hand stitching and she noticed a big improvement last winter with just one light; so, I think we will try to get her hubs busy. LOL. Yeah, good luck with that one, sis.

I slept better last night! I told my co worker that whenever something is pressing like now, now, now, or never, it is generally not the best choice. Thanks for the prayers, kiddo.
