Monday Sept 27th gossip and laughs

Okay my quilting buddies. I always look to see what you all say ...lol
and Jan and I are still cheering for the swappers but we love you girls
and want to know more. Since we cant all get on one chat thing together...How about
this idea we go under general chit chat and start a day..We will end the day at midnight
just like the daily deal that way we can have a day of fun.Everyone is more than welcome
to post what ever you like it will be like we are together sewing and chatting Until we can all
meet one day and drive Jenny and the girls insane LOL

By the way I got my order today from MSCQ for the baby rotary cutter and some layer cakes that were the daily deal a little sad it wasnt a full layer cake but gives me enough to play since in my last order I ordered the circle cutter. Dot to dots here I come...

all i can telll you is that I am having one of those bad machine days that has lasted for over a week already!! grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! Am trying to quilt my daughters wedding quilt and the dang machine is not cooperating at all! Needle was breaking, now the thread is tangled and stitches are uneven .......... For suzi this is a bad day!

Suzi walk away ...grab a coffee or a cold drink and breathe. I hate days like that when nothing goes right so we won't allow it to happen to you. It's raining here and Im having a hard time leaving the sewing room....and the computer. When's the wedding? Im thankful none of my girls are ready for that yet...I have enough gray lol. My girls are 23,19 and 16...and boy do I miss them

thanks have done lots of walking away and coming back to it - wedding is Oct 10. have had the top completed since mid august and have been fussing with a borrowed machine since!

.......a big part of the fustration is the stored anger i still have that my machine head was destroyed when we moved last year. the guys just would not listen to me when i told them not to take the rails off the frame! they did anyway but not the head and when it rolled the length of the frame and smashed on the concrete is was like a toyota hitting an oak tree!! must get over that and move on ......

at least i do have this brother machine on loan from a friend and worse to worse i can put a walking foot on and just straight stich (hopefully) ......

poor Suzi...hang in there! I have some good news... I started a restricted diet about 6 weeks ago and I have officially lost 10 lbs... 14 more to go. This weekend I was able to have french toast..OMG my fav!

Sorry about the machine it seems we all have that every now and then. Stay calm and carry on. LOL I had to try everything in the book to get mine back to working. Now I don't know which one of the things made it work but it does. (fingers crossed) How much more do you have to do on the wedding quilt? Would love to see it or have I? The mind is the first to go.LOL

Suzi I'm so sorry about your machine.
Laura isn't a layer cake supposed to be 40 squares? I wonder why you only got 16.

Busy day for me, studying this morning, then out and about with my sister running errands this afternoon. Stopped in at the sewing center to see a product demo, then off to my son's school to participate in his First Lego Legue project.
It has been horribly humid here in the Seattle area all day! I feel like I am in the south!

Suzi, saw some of your quilts on your profile page and WOW!!!!!!!! I hope someday to do as good as you. You have done some beautiful things. What does the wedding quilt look like? I wish I was closer and I would give you my machine. I've been looking at some of the other girls quilts and maybe I better not send you my stars they aren't as good as you guys can do.

It's been raining all day here. (NY) It makes me achey with all that moisture in the air. Even my poor old dogs are limping around. One of those rainy, sleepy days. I was busy doing laundry. Sewed in between load transfers. {:-> Finally had to quit. Oh well, there is always tomorrow. But then I have to clean before all my girls come over. We are machine knitters who have taken up quilting. We are learning together. So I won't be sewing tomorrow. We haven't knitted anything since we picked up quilting. lol Quilting is just so cool. I can't wait for the two classes to start that we are taking. One is hand quilting and the other is a orange peel wall hanging. They start in October. Everyone is collecting fabric and tools and the pattern etc. I'll let you know how it works out.

hot and humid in Seattle? have to give my sister a call - she is in Renton - and tease her about that! hahahah

never quit doing what you enjoy , just move on to another project - right? spent about an hour looking thru all the wonderful albums yall have posted and saw a Friendship Star i loved (quiltingtrish's i think) then remembered that Natalie had done a tutorial on it.......so...... made up these this afternoon........ six more to go plus the spacing blocks (they are 14" blocks) and i will have another pretty new quilt top. YAY!
