    New to this Forum

Hi, I am Shirley and live in Newark, California. I retired November 2018 and have been doing some quilting since 2016 but really looking forward to really quilting now that I am retired. Moving soon and once settled hope to make quilts for family and for the walls in my new home. I have fallen in love with precuts and as I am color challenged (spend way to much time trying to figure out color schemes) the precuts make it so much easier.

Looking in forward to learning so much from the tutorials and all of you.

Welcome from Canada. I think retirement is the best time of our lives, especially sweetened with the ability to quilt.

Enjoy life and do what makes you happy. Everything else will follow.

Every day I try to do one thing that challenges my comfort zone.

Welcome to the Forum from Colorado. Just remember that all pre-cuts are not created equal. Be sure & measure them prior to starting a project. Sizes can vary. Happy Quilting!

Hi, I'm Peggy and new here. I'm from Oregon. I've been quilting for a long time but am learning so much from you all. I started learning from my grandmother who used to tear sheets to make blocks - that was quite a while ago I really love colors and love the "artwork" that can be done with quilting. I'm looking forward to learning even more through this group.

Welcome from TX. I like precut for the color coordination, but you do need to be careful, as Joy pointed out, they are not always cut the same size. I am slowly gaining more confidence with being able to pick out my own fabrics from multiple lines. When it doesn't really work (after purchasing it), well I just added to my stash. Taking a class in a few months about scrappy quilts. Enjoy the process and enjoy your retirement.

Welcome to you both from the UK. I retired around 18 months ago and it really is the best time, sewing is such a pleasure when there's time to do it.
