    New to the group

    Hi All,

Just found this forum and wanted to introduce myself. I love sewing quilt tops and have just begun quilting small projects—table runners. I tried FMQ and really struggled, so just settled for stitching in the ditch. I signed up for a FMQ class at my local quilt store, so I’m hoping to give it a whirl again.

I’m a HUGE Jenny Doan fan and have watched so many of her video tutorials. I’m going to the Garden of Quilts show at Thanksgiving Point (near Salt Lake City) in September and am so excited to meet her and take one of her classes 

Looking forward to getting to know folks and learning tips and tricks in my sewing journey.

    Tamara

Welcome from Colorado. I used to live in northern ID. Re: FMQ - there are many books available, videos on YT, internet classes, etc. that will help with learning. It really helped me to take a class in person at a local quilt store. Be sure to check out Angela Walters' videos. They are free; if you sign up, you can get them in your e-m. They key to FMQ is practice - practice - practice!
