Waving from behind the snow bank

    Hi Everyone,

My name is Lisa and I live in central NYS. Suffice to say, have had enough of all things winter but I sure get a lot of tops pieced when the snow flies. Have been quilting since the late 70's, before rotary cuttings and long arm quilting but after horse and buggy and the invention of pantyhose. Suffice to say there is little I enjoy more than adding to my fabric stash. Husband thinks I'm hoarding, but I told him to go down in the basement and count his fishing poles and equipment, his hunting gear, and two motorcycles.

I look forward to meeting new friends and seeing your projects. Being part of a community is important to me and its such a source of friendship, learning and sharing of ideas.

Welcome Lisa from Canada, just north of you in Ontario.

I'm certain that you will enjoy the comaraderie and find great inspiration. Don't forget to post your projects.

Enjoy life and do what makes you happy. Everything else will follow.

Every day I try to do one thing that challenges my comfort zone.

      Hi Lisa,

Welcome from sunny Florida. There's no such thing as too much stash!

Welcome from sunny Colorado, where today it was 62 deg. Most of our snow from last week has melted away. But the mountains sure are getting lots of snow. Some of the ski areas got between 2 & 4 ft. of snow in the past 72 hrs. Avalanche danger remains extreme.

Hello Lisa and welcome to the forum from Michigan. Happy you’ve joined us! I too am tired of the snow, but it does provide plenty of time to sew.....when you’re not shoveling!
