    Just saying hi.

Hi all you wonderful creative people!

I am reasonably new to making quilts.
Seriously I have one at MSQC for long arm quilting, just finished a top and started a third.....yeah that one is not going as it should.

This is the one I just finished. I did add a 3" border in white after taking that picture.

I registered here for a few reasons.
I want to be able to view the quilts others have made.
I want to be able to ask for help when I need it.
I want to be able to bounce ideas off ya'll!

    Mostly I want to learn.

I hope I get better with each quilt I make.

      Thanks!
I was very worried that I messed it up. I started on my 30 year old machine. It quit completely with just 24 blocks done!
I finished on a new machine and boy howdy were the 1/4" seams different.

I am glad my boo boos don't show.

Welcome from Wisconsin! I love your quilt, everything looks perfectly lined up, great job. You know you are hooked when you start planning the next one even though your current one isn't finished! Happens a lot.

            Hi Babs and welcome!

We're all a bunch of friendly learners here.

No worries about having lists, and plans for more quilts. I think we're all in that boat. I have a black board in my kitchen so I can keep up with what I'm supposed to work on next, and the sad thing is... the board's not big enough!

My next project is something small and easy- bowl cozies for Christmas gifts for my son's in- laws' families. Then back to a Christmas throw, and I have some little squirrels from a panel that I want to do something with, and by then there will probably be another baby gift for church to be made.

            Enjoy the journey!

I know the frustration on changing seams, I forget to change needle positions when I change the sewing feet! Just keeping my relationship with my seam ripper alive! Welcome to the forum from So. Calif.

Very pretty quilt. Blue and white is a favorite on this forum. Just remember, you are your biggest critic. You have found one way to appreciate your quilt. It is a lot harder to find the oopsies in a picture. And that complete view is how everyone else sees the quilt. I think we, as quilters, all have a problem with looking past where we know the problem children are in our own quilts.

                          Thanks ya'll!

I did figure out what I was doing wrong on my next quilt top. It's making progress now!

                          You all are very nice!

Until I get a lot more comfortable with quilting I am keeping the patterns I try very simple.
