    Hello

Hi everyone I'm fairly new to quilting but I'm in hook line & sinker!
my name is Jill I lost my DH 7yrs ago, we have one son (48) one grandson. I live in Virginia w/ my dog. I've been collecting material for years but was afraid to cut it until I recently found a local quilting group

I stumbled upon Jenny's tutorials & between these & a push from the group of ladies I've finally made my first quilt. It's called Yellow Brick Road it still has to be quilted but it's ready to go. As a group we are making butterfly blocks that we will exchange at our retreat in Feb. At first I wasn't sure I could do it but I have my 12 blocks ready to go! Hopefully I'll sew the complete top at our retreat.

We also did a bunch of log cabin blocks to give our hostess as a 90th birthday present, she was totally surprised. I can't wait to see them altogether. My next project is going to be that checked desin that Jenny did a tutorial on. I have the material just have to dive in.

Boy, you jumped in with both feet! Isn't it fun to see a project come alive under your hands? Please post lots of pictures as we are all picture junkies and get inspired by others work. If you go to gallery in the top bar then go to pictures you can see what people are working on. Welcome from Kansas.
