New member and new to quilting

My name is Renee and I am new to quilting. I am learning a lot by watching the Jenny Doan tutorials which are really informative. I still have yet to start my first quilt-I am starting out by doing coasters and mug rugs before I start my first big project. I also hope to teach my daughter quilting as well. I know I will learn a lot here.

Welcome from Missouri! You might try a lap or baby size quilt before committing to a bed size one. Lap quilts are so welcome and useful this time of year. And they are not as scary a project as a big quilt.

Hello and Welcome! You may like a free class from Craftsy.com that is called "Piece, Patch, Quilt, Basic Quiltmaking Skills". It really is a great resource for new quilters. You have to go through the regular ordering process, but at the end, it is free and you are not charged anything.
