Just getting started!

Hello everyone!

My name is Zach and I live in Washington DC. I'm 22 years old and I have been quilting for a few months now. I figured I'd look for some more ideas/helpful tricks through the forum.

I got started quilting because I wanted to surprise my grandmother with a quilt. She has made a quilt for everyone in our family and I figured I would return the favor to her. My plan was to quilt this one project and then I would be done with it however; I realized how much fun I was having putting this one together and I got hooked.

I look forward to seeing everyones ideas and quilts! I'll post a photo of her quilt when I get home (currently traveling for work!)

Welcome from Colorado. My son lives in Chesapeake Beach, MD & commutes into D.C. for work. He once made a quilt when he was in Home Ec. He completed his project of a western style long sleeved shirt & had time left over for another project. It was a small twin size quilt. Glad to have another man on the Forum.

Welcome, Welcome from a very cold Spanish Fork, Utah. I am glad to see another male here. I started quilting to help me with my PTSD/Depression. Boy does quilting sure help me. Hey, make sure you post pictures of your projects you have completed as well as those you are working on. There are a ton of helpful tutorials available too. Make sure you check out the Groups tab.
