Just joined this forum. Not new to MSQC but new to posting stuff on here

Can someone tell me why I can't post any pictures as attachments to a post. I've tried and tried numerous times and MSQC just does not like my pictures.

I used a digital camera for better pics so I am thinking the file is too big? I don't understand because I used the same camera to take my profile picture and it uploaded just fine.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

could be the file is too big, or if you are previewing them then they don't load. Try resizing. Karen might have better ideas when she gets up.

Hi Daniel & welcome to the forum.

I open my pictures with Paint and resize them to pixels (type in 800 on the largest dimension and it will automatically adjust the width). Save it, name it and put it on your Desktop. Now, when you want to post a picture, type your message, then click on the photo icon above your message, look for the picture on your Desktop and click it and upload it to your message.

I know it sounds like a lot of things to do, but it just takes a few seconds once you have the photo on your desktop.

Hi Daniel - welcome to the forum!
I do believe that there is a short waiting period before you can post pics when you are new to the forum. (time, or a certain amount of posts, I'm not sure which)
I'm sure a moderator will chime in on this

He's been a member since January, so surely time isn't the problem.

There is a free program you can download on your computer called Shrink Pictures.

I also use a digital camera, so that probably isn't the problem either.

I think when I had this problem, I just forgot about how great the picture "could" be and started taking cell phone pics because they were small and adequate.

thanks for the paint suggestion. Here it goes. my Stonehenge Gradation chips.jpg

Wow, now its too small and so grainy. I just want to post a decent picture in good light and color. Oh well, u guys get the gist of it. Its a tote bag made from Stonhenge Gradation Chips. It was a daily deal at $.50. I used the entire package. It came out perfect. Will try and repost better pictures.

Also, thanks for all the replies on how to fix the size issue. I will try them all. I'll get a good picture up soon.

thanks for the paint. I did it and it came out too small. Will retry to post it again. I'll get it eventually and post a real clear and well lit picture. It came out so perfect and only cost $.50 for the charm pack.

The pic just needs to be under 2MB, if that helps. Welcome to the forum!

Welcome from Wisconsin! That is a pretty bag, you did a great job on it! I didn't have any trouble viewing your picture. I have a Kindle with a touch screen so just pinched it with my fingers to make it bigger.

My digital camera pictures ALWAYS come out too big. I have to resize them in paint all the time.
