    Newbie British Quilter!

Hi everyone, I'm Susanne. Although my husband and I are British he is in the military and we have been stationed in the USA since 2012, with probably 2 years until we get sent back home.

As I wasn't automatically eligible for a SSN I decided to use my time to learn some new skills that I'd always wanted to learn but never managed to find the time when I was working full time.

Back in the Spring of this year, while stationed in California, a friend and I enrolled in a quilting class and made a nine-patch variation and though it is full of wonky cutting and stitching that looks like a drunken spider ran across the fabric, I am very proud of it

I am currently working on a friendship star quilt that just needs me to make the binding and it will be done, then I shall move on to some Yuletide projects I think.

I'm really enjoying creating something that will last a lifetime, and I look forward to creating more and getting better, and I'm sure I'll be looking to pick everyone's brains over different aspects as time goes by. I will share pictures of everything on my profile page
