    New to Forum

    Hi All,

I'm new to this forum - I found it while desperately searching for help with one of my quilts. I've been quilting for about 16 years, but haven't been very active in the last few years. I'll be 40 in November. My husband and I have been married for almost 18 years and we have a 16-year-old son. My husband is an avid woodworker. I love quilting, reading, and baking. My son is one rank away from Eagle Scout and is active in FFA. We have 3 dogs (Jack, Tux, and Daisy Mae), 3 cats (Jake, Zoe Marie, and Toby), and 2 rabbits (Tony and Sal). I've always preferred making baby quilts because they are easy and quick to finish, but I'm hoping to branch out a bit. I have serious issues with one of my hips, so I can't be as active outdoors as I'd like. I decided that rather than be upset about what I can't do, I should find something that I can do. So, I'm going to start working on learning how to paint with thread - hoping to build up to making art quilts. I hope to learn a thing or two from folks on this forum!

Toni ... If I keep sewing long enough, will they make their own dinner?

Welcome from Spring TX. Good luck with the thread painting. I'm impressed with it, but have not treid it yet.
