    New addict

    Hello to everyone!
First please excuse my english, I live in Vienna, Austria and my language is German.
I am 63 and a retired nurse, I worked for 40 years in the OR in the University Clinic in Vienna.
Since my husband died long years ago and I do not have kids, there was a real problem what to do with my time after retirement.
I have always liked fabrics and colours, I bought magazines and some books about quilting, but when there was the instruction "cut 160 sqares of this and cut 180 stripes of that" I knew, that I would not and could not do. So I searched the net - and found Jenny Doan - and was hooked. I think I watched the videos hundred times and then took the first step: I made a Jelly Roll Race quilt - and found out: I could do it. Since then I quilt, I made 8 large quilts, table runners, place mats and several totes and pouches, I even took the first steps to free motion quilting, and I love every hour behind my Pfaff machine.
So retirement is not bad at all and my two OSH cats love the quilts too.
    Greetings to all of you!!!
