    New and have a question

Hello, my name is jean, and I'm from Utah....I have been quilting a little for years, but my husband and I just got back from a trip back east and had the opportunity to stop in to Hamilton and see what was there....I now have made one quilt and would love to make a cathedral quilt and was wondering if it can be made with batting in it....Help

What about using the temples that Jenny used and cut out a square so it doesn't get really bulky.....also I just purchase a quilting/sewing machine and was wondering if anyone had good tutorials for learning how to use it.....I'm hoping to be able to use it for a full sized quilt....any help out there

You could do that, but the square will bundle up if it not sewed down. What machine did you get? Did the shop offer classes?

mycathedralwindow2.jpg1966cathedralwindow.jpgcathedral window doesn't need batting. It has several layers of fabric which is sufficient. The second picture is a cathedral window made in 1966 by my grandmother and the first is an attempt by me to see if I could make one
