I'd like to introduce myself. I'm Caroline from Puyallup Washington.
I'm not new to quilting, but I still consider myself a newbie, as I started making quilts back in the late '80s, but probably only made one every few years for the first 25 or so years. It was only after my Mother passed away in 2014 that the quilt bug really got a hold of me.
My Mother was an avid quilter, and she left to me her Singer 201, all her notions and several UFOs. My sister is holding Mom's fabric stash hostage, telling me I need to fly to Florida for another visit to pick them up. I'm afraid it would take several trips, HaHaHa.
It was my goal to finish Mom's UFOs to present to my siblings as final gifts from Mom. It's taken me two years to complete them, but mostly because I kept getting side tracked with Jenny's videos. Over the past two years I have discovered that I have a passion for quilting and have completed more quilts in these past two years than I did in the first 25 years (not to mention the dozen quilt tops waiting to be quilted).
I have been lurking in the forums for the past year or more, and want to thank all the regulars for your responses to other members questions. Your willingness to share your experiences, ideas, and suggestions have been a great support for me.
