    Hi from way out West

Ok, I admit it, I have been "lurking" around the forum for quite a while now, so I know a lot about all of you. Guess it's time to get on board, so to speak.

I am a ranch wife in Eastern Oregon, and a long time quilter. Found M*, Jenny, and the forum while cruising around the internet looking for tutorials and patterns. (The internet is a great source of instruction for us country girls!) Have been hooked ever since. I machine piece and mostly machine quilt, although I have completed 3 quilts hand quilting as well, and like to do hand work. I am also venturing into the world of frame quilting (more on that in another thread)

My DH and I raise and train Quarter horses, with help from our DD and grandkids. DH is a certified, 100% real cowboy, and makes his living chasing cows, although these days mostly for hire, as we don't currently own our own. My days are split between quilting and all the things ranch wives get called on for - never a dull minute!

Looking forward to getting to know you all better. Kathleen

Thanks for all the welcome messages, everybody! For those that love pictures (so do I!) I have built my first album and added some pictures that were saved on my computer, all made in the last 2 or 3 years. Hope to be sharing some new work soon. Kathleen
