Hello Everyone!
My name is maggie and I am new to quilting. I am married and have an almost 3 year old son who is very busy, but loves it when I make him things! I am a stay at home mom and I do part time childcare out of my home and my husband is in the US Army. I LOVE this site and the Missouri Star Quilt Company and have learned sooo much from the tutorials! I have really enjoyed learning how to quilt and sew. This is a brand new hobby as I just got my first sewing machine at the beginning of the year (2010) and had't even used a machine till about a month before that! I haven't taken any classes but have learned everything from the internet and youtube! Technology is such a great tool and I'm soooo appreciative of you guys putting up all of the videos you do! I'm from the chicago area and I look forward to a time when I will be in the area and be able to stop in and say hi in person! I have family in Kansas City Kansas so I hope it won't be too far off in the future! I look forward to talking with you all soon!

Welcome Maggie!

I love YouTube!! I have learned more there, than if I had my own personal instructor! Of course, I may be a bit partial, but MSQC videos are the best by far!

I am a relatively new quilter, myself...but gaining lots of confidence as I go!

Welcome!! Where are you stationed? We are at Redstone Arsenal in Alabama. I also love that I can find awesome tutorials on YouTube from MSQC...I think it's how I found the site many moons ago as well. I'm so excited for you to be starting out in this wonderfully addictive hobby!!!!

My hubby was in the Army for 9 years. Now he is in the National Guard for the 115th Signal Battalion in Florence, AL.
