It's to bad you never got to share quilting with your mother or grandmother it's really something special to have something to bond with someone so close and special to you. Good Morning to you all and thanks for this great site.I am new to sewing and finding my way .The tutorials are fantastic and I hope my family can last a few weeks without meals while I read all the discussions .Quilting classes and supplies are limited here in Scotland but this site and shop will provide all I need to help me on this journey of discovery.
My daughter is in awe that the shop is near Kansas she was and is an avid fan of the Wizard of Oz .I have rambled enough just wanted to say Hello and Thanks for having me.

Hi Doreen. I know the feeling about the lack of quilting supplies. I'm not far from you (in the grand scheme of things) just down in Newcastle. I've been supplementing my stash by ordering from this website but then you have the terrible suspense of waiting or it to arrive from America!

HI,
I am a long time sewer but I have not quilted in many years. I plan to make several large quilts. I will do the peicing and the binding but I will leave the actaul quilting to someone else. The quilt I am working on now is called Candy Brick Road by Susie Guzman. Really easy.All rectangles. I order all most all of my fabrics online. I love Moda Bakeshop for all of it's easy and quick projects. Nice to meet you all.

Hello everyone..my name is Lisa and I'm from the Tampa Bay Area in Florida..I have never quilted before but was very intrigued after watching a video tutorial on YouTube and this is how I found the MSQC !! I was looking for a unique baby gift for a friend of mine who is due in December and I found a quilt "kit" and purchased it..I am an avid sewer but am a little nervous to start this new project..I've been "lurking" all over the site waiting for the "oomph" I need to just dive in and start the project !!

New here also! Got my fist order in the mail yesterday! Beautiful fabric and so glad i found you guys!
I am Kim,From Michigan. I plan on taking my charms i bought, to my DIL's in texas,for a week, and teach her to use the sewing machine i bought her for Christmas! I have the "Big Bag Theory pattern from a magazine, and it use charms.So i think that will be our first project together!

It is so nice to meet you all!! I am glad to hear that you are enjoying our tutorials and site. Watterside, how sweet of you to teach your daughter in law to sew! (she will love you forever!) And charms are the perfect thing for a beginner! It takes a LOT of the stress away!

Hello. Just found out about Missouri Star Quilt Co. this morning from a friend. I have been quilting since 1986 and machine quilting for others since 1998. I love the whole process - picking out fabric, pattern, etc. Hardest part for me is doing a label.....

Hi! I'm fairly new to quilting. I've made 2 quilts so far and absolutely love it. I'm still learning and am in the process of developing some of my own patterns. I found you guys on facebook and followed the links to get here.
