Newbee too. Learning to landscape/art quilt

    Hello all,
I am a mother of two early-teen boys, married 17 years, Preschool/Elementary School Teacher, and Assistant Scout Leader. I am currently going back to college and have very little time for sewing. I have made a few "quilts". I put that in quotes, as I PIECE them and love the tops, then put the rest together and try to machine stitch them, but I'm not good at that part yet.
If my profile picture shows up correctly, it is a quilt I made of the owl in my father's back yard. It is about 14" by 10". I want to learn more about machine quilting, landscape/art quilting, and decorating with stitches...
I suppose that is all for now. When is the next "iron-quilt" competition? I love looking at all of the entries!

      Welcome!

You should put your owl down in show and tell! I think everyone would love to see it! I want to do a landscape quilt too. There have been nice ones shown here.

Welcome to the forum! I agree with Lorie......please post your owl quilt in show and tell. That way the image will be easier for all of us to see. It looks pretty!

Welcome from Michigan. Haven't heard anything about the iron-quilter competition yet but good question. I was wondering the same thing. There were beautiful entries last year.
