    Guess What? Another Newbie!

    Hi!
My name is Tammy, I am 42 years old and I live in Arizona. My husband is the love of my life and we share our home with two very large St. Bernard/Great Pyrenees mixes (Bruno and Rufus). I have been sewing since my Home Ec teacher taught me to sew in high school and I have not looked back. I soon discovered regular sewing and making a quilt sewing are two different animals, but I wanted to get into quilting and my mom and I needed something to do together, so we took a beginner's quilting class at a local shop. We both finished our quilts this past week and they turned out beautifully.
I have watched EVERY video tutorial I could get my eyes on that featured Jenny at the MSQC and I feel like she is my new best friend. I watched her Jelly Roll Race last night (for the umpteenth time) and laughed and laughed. After watching her do that, I figured I could do it and since I just happened to have a package of Bali Pop batiks on hand, I thought, "what the heck?"
I would love to post the picture of it, but the download area keeps telling me the file is too large. If you guys have any advice in that arena, I would love to hear it so I can show that little guy off!
Anyway, I am thrilled to be part of this community and hope to meet some of you and especially Jenny one day.

    Happy quilting!

Another Newbie! They are everywhere, they are everywhere. Glad you found your way here. As for uploading pics, you need to resize the pic. I use paintbrush and click on Resize. Mine have been fine when I lowered the number to 50 instead of 100.

Hi welcome to the forum! I had the same problem with pictures, so someone suggested using free online picture compression software. I process my pictures through resize2mail.com but there are other ways! Some resize through paint, I've never done that so I can't give you specifics on that. If you use an iPad, the files are already small enough, so those pictures don't need to be compressed and can go directly into your posts. Good luck and we hope to see your projects soon!

                      Welcome Tammy
What part of Arizona are you from? I lived in Phoenix for a few years & now I have a son living in Bisbee. Love that town, historical & funky. My two favorite things. Lol
