Newbie with questions

Hello everyone. I'm new to this forum, relatively new to quilting, and have just received my first order of product from Missouri Star Quilt Co.

So here goes. Dumb question number 1. I purchased a tumbler ruler. It seems to have a paper backing on it. Am I supposed to remove this paper? I would like it off, but am afraid to start removing it because a 'half peeled' sticky ruler would be worse than a ruler with paper stuck on it.

yes, take the paper off. That is a question often asked, and there are NO dumb questions if you don't know the answer

Besides which it is not sticky and does not leave a residue......
