Hi Everyone! I live in rural America. 5 acres with a house, 8 cats (yes, all fixed-finally), 1/4 acre garden and nothing but cornfields and soybeans all around me. My nearest neighbor is about 1/4 mile away.
I have 3 daughters, 4 stepdaughters, and soon to be 8 grandkids. Oh, and one hubby. He doesn't say anything about me buying fabric. I think it might be because he can't tell if it's new or something that's been here for awhile.
I took up quilting seriously about 12 years ago. At the time I was crocheting and had over 300 skeins of yarn. I promptly took trash bags and hauled them over to our local senior citizen community. In June of 2005 I won second prize in the FabShopHop online. It was a Brother NX600 sewing machine. She's my baby. She's gotten me through surgeries and is keeping me sane. I take really good care of her.
I love fabric. I love the feel, color and patterns that are available. I'm so thankful that I have some way to express myself that can last for years. My oldest daughter has also been bitten by the quilt bug. In the last 5 years she has made over 11 quilts.
I am blessed!
