Hello from way down south.
My name is Marta. I am from Pittsburgh, Pa -- married to a Brazilian and have been living in Rio de Janeiro since 1972. I have been fooling around with quilting for a few years.- not at all good at piecing or quilting but I love my quilting class instructor and our group has become fantastic friends. When I get up State side I buy lots of fabric. I love to buy fabric, and start projects. Do not do well on finishing. My goals for this year are 1.finish some of my projects 2. practice machine quilting 3..lose my fear of triangles --- that will mean starting new project yeah!

Hi Marta and welcome to the forum. It seems like every place quilters are from we have the same situations! I'm so happy to meet someone from Rio! A good place for you to work on your fear of triangles is to watch Jenny's tutorials. She has new techniques that make triangles manageable for everyone - they just take a little practice. The Tutorial tab is at the top of this page. Visit often so we can get to know you. Barb -

Hi from Orlando. I am originally from Jersey and I am a huge Steeler fan. (Jets too). I moved south because I hate that coldweather. Glad I am not up there.
