I live in Cedar Crest, which is East of Albuquerque. Beautiful area, except when the juniper is blowing around, which is now!

Welcome from Texas! I love batiks, too. They can be hard with which to coordinate fabric. For non-batiks, I choose a fabric with several colors in it that I love, and then use those colors to chose other fabrics. The colors are sometimes in the selvage making that easy to take with you to the store to find other fabrics.

    Hello from New Mexico

    Hi!
I have been quilting for about 8 years, but took a period of time off. I'm back at it and completely hooked again. One thing that has always challenged me is choosing and coordinating fabric. My very favorite fabrics are batiks. I am always looking for help with block construction too. This looks like a great forum! Thank you!
