Hi all
When I say old, I mean I am old in years, (78) but loving every minute of being alive; and still trying to learn all kinds of new things. I have tried quilting off and on for many years, but it was only since I retired from work, and then traveling that I have been able to devote much time to the craft. I have made several quilts in the last 2 years, and I love the fabrics; ( always have) but I also like to hand embroidery and knit at night; machine embroidery and sew during the day as well as try new rec ipes all the time. My husband and I also have a raised bed garden that we raise lettuce, carrots, bell peppers, radishes, garlic , c hives, tomatoes, brussel sprous, asparagus etc. We also have about 10 fruit trees that are finally bearing fruit and boy is that fun!!! I love to make chutney, fresh pico de gallo, and we also smoke salmon and make jerky. We give most of the stuff to our kids, but we also eat alot of it ourselves. Hope to learn a ton of new tricks from all you smart ladies here, so be prepared for a lot of questions.

You put most people to shame with all you do! I really believe that no matter your age, you're never too old to learn. I tell my adult kids that all the time. They seem to think that since they are adults, they don't need to learn anything from mom. I just laugh.
