Hi all, I'll try to get this in a nutshell...
48, started sewing when my girls were small because I refused to pay $10 per outfit for doll clothes
(those girls are now 21 and soon to be 19). Really didn't do much quilting - a few small projects - but mostly garments (dresses, figure skating outfits, etc.) Loved to sew, just didn't have much time while homeschooling (I know, I know... I should have incorporated sewing into my curriculum - oh boy did those years fly by).
Fast forward to about 2 years ago - finished homeschooling - went to work full time (office). About 6 months ago, dear, wonderful, hubby says - 'you know, you always wanted to start a little sewing business - maybe now is the time' (insert many kisses and hugs for hubby here); hubby upgraded my sewing machine (more hugs and kisses); and two weeks ago painted and put storage into the spare bedroom which my nephew recently vacated (and yet more hugs and kisses for hubby)...
... which brings me here - I randomly stumbled upon a tutorial video by Jenny - ok, now I've watched like 50 of them... and I soooo want to quilt something other than a table runner
(not that table runners are bad or anything...) So many clear ideas and straightforward instructions - thank you so much. I'm still trying to lock down what my first big project will be...
