    newest quilt geek around.

Hi I'm Pam. I am a brand new self taught quilter. I made a dresden plate quilt top for my first quilt. Not quilted yet. No one told me it was one of the harder blocks to make. I just watched the tutorial on it and said I can make that. I used the easy dresden plate template and it turned out pretty good for someone who has never used a sewing machine let alone threaded a needle. YAH I am really new at this. LOL Even newer at this computer blog stuff. I just turned 50 and figured it was time to teach myself some new tricks.
My kids are grown, 2 boys. So I have more time to do my own thing except for those 40 hour work weeks I still put in.
I am married to the most wonderful man in the world. My high school sweety. Been together since we were 15 years old.
I have 2 dogs and 2 cats that like to be in the middle of what ever I am trying to sew.
I have lived in Missouri all my life and have no desire to ever leave. It's a great state.

Hi Pam, welcome from south Texas! I lived in Missouri for 10 years and still consider it "home". My family still lives there. I was in the Springfield area. I can't believe you did the dresden plate as your first quilt! Wow! I'm still new, 1+ year, and I'm still a bit intimidated by it. Congrats! Post a picture when you've finished it. Again, welcome!

Hi Pam, and welcome from New Jersey. Are you near the MSQC shop? We love pictures so make sure you share them of your dresden!

I am so lost. Have no idea how to post a pic, I wish I did. I will have to have my computer geek sister help me one day. So where is the MSQS?

Welcome also from the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. Lots to learn from in this forum and also from the MSQC tutorials. Have fun and learn to post pictures of your projects. We're all a bit curious.

Hello from Australia, Pam. I fell into that trap too and one of my first was a humungous Dresden Plate which I made to use up a whole lot of leftover scraps from the crafty eighties and it still isn't finished .

I would also love some advice please about posting piccies, I have soooo enjoyed seeing what others are doing and am looking forward to reciprocating, but am an absolute computer klutz. I think I fluked my avatar and profile.

Missouri Star Quilt Company's Store is in Hamilton, Missouri. Pam, it looks like you would be about 4-4 1/2 hours away.

That's depressing. Wish that I was closer. But that would be a bad thing for my pocket book. Lol but I am seeing a mini vacation one day. Just to see what the store is like.
