    Newbie from the Adirondacks, NY

    Hi Everyone.
    I just signed up for the quilt lessons and had to join in the forum.
    I quilt (some) but have no one near me to teach me and so here I am. I also love to knit, crochet (have a prayer shawl ministry). I love to bake bread and cook; and love being at home. I am retired and after having raised 7 children, now is the time to Bloom!

          Hello from Australia, Margaret Mary. I'm Mary too, or I should say Marie (Marie Priscilla!!!) - was foolish enough to be born on my mother's birthday so got lumbered with that Priscilla in her honour. And the Marie bit? Well., I was always Mary to my mum and dad, so Mary it is.

          I only know a little bit about your part of the world after reading Bill Bryson's [I]A Walk in the Woods[I]. It sounds very beautiful.

              Another Mary here....Mary Elizabeth.

              My son is stationed in upper New York at Fort Drum. He says he cant wait to get a few days off this summer so him and some buddies can go to the Adirondak Mountains. He says he can see them from his barrack windows and they are calling for him....lol
