    New to the forum...

    Hi!
My name is Kate and I am new to quilting. I have made two quilts and I am ready to start quilting my third. I would love to learn more! I just signed up for Jenny's Sympoz course. I am very excited to start the learning!
    Have a great day!

Thank you for the warm welcomes! I really appreciate it!
I expect it will take me a little bit to learn my way around.

I do have a podcast about my new adventures in quilting...lol. I am an absolute beginner and I am sharing what I am learning and my thousand questions. Check me out, if you want. My podcast is at http://quiltingdaydreams.podbean.com/ and I am blogging at http://katiesquietquilting.blogspot.com/, where you can see what I have done. So much of what I have done so far has been from the MSQC tutorials.

        Have a fabulous day!!!

You will have a great time here. MSQ is a great resource to have. The ladies here a so talented. I think a good beginning is to take quilt classes too.

Welcome Kate! You don't say where you are living - that would be interesting. A military wife - there are a few of us Veterans out here and there and some of us even have a kid or grandkid in the military now too. I am retired Army (and so is DH) and one of our boys is a new Marine.
I checked out your podcast and your blog. REALLY nice - both of them. Wow - for a beginner - those are some beautiful quilts you are producing. Don't worry too much about the math part - there are lots of members here that will help you if you get stuck. I am not a math person so I sometimes run out of fabric or even do the thing where you eyeball some fabric and tell yourself ' oh, that's plenty!' and find out after you've cut all of it that you should probably have done some type of math first. Haha. Oh well. It's only fabric and there's always more of something where it comes from.
We love photos here - it helps to keep us all going and create new things. So, don't be shy.
Well, off here to get some material cut for a neighbor.
                    Hugs, (from Central PA)

Thank you so much for your welcoming messages. I am so excited by the wonderful comments and welcome!

I live near Seattle, and my husband is a Coastie. We move next year (gulp) and I have no clue where we are moving to. One of the adventurous sides of being a military wife. I am hoping that it will be an area with a lot of quilt stores. LOL.

Thank you for your kind words about my blog and podcast. I am having a wonderful time sharing.

                      Have a wonderful day!
