    Advice for a newbie please....

Can anyone help me make a newbie decision? I LOVE the prayer flag sets of fabric. The colors would match the color scheme in my bedroom. I would like to make a quilt to lay across the foot of my bed... but as a newbie... I am not sure which pattern would be best for that set of fabric. The pattern that I am considering is the drunkard's path... but can visualize how that might look. I need something easy... as I am just getting back into quilting after 20 years... (My daughter is now off to college and I need something to keep me busy... other than worry!)

Thanks for your help in advance,

That is a gorgeous line of fabric, Donna and I like the drunkard's path also. If you haven't checked out some of the quilts on Moda Bakeshop dot com.... I'd recommend that site. My favorite pattern right now is the Dresden Plate. Another piece of advice is to go to sympoz and check out Jenny's new online class. Glad you joined us and happy quilting, hon

Donna, I'm having fun with pinwheels right now, but I've also played with disappearing 9 patches and dresden plates. The Drunkard's Path as taught by Jenny does look like fun. You can't go wrong with the precuts from MSQC. I just put together a runner using the Blush charm pack I won from MSQC, and have 3 Luna Notte charm packs and some coordinating yardage waiting for me. It's all such fun :-) isn't it? Do let us know what you decide on, and share pics along the way!
