I have been dabbling for about 20+ years but have really gotten serious the last 7 or so years. I would like to find out how to get patterns published, I made a quilt pattern for a great nephew and I had lots of compliments on it, so I thought maybe I could sell them. How long have you been quilting?

Bixy, I am a true newbie. I've just started this month. Never really sewed either (unless you count home ec in junior high, back in the 60's). Haven't even done a full quilt. Although I'm planning a rag quilt for this spring for my son's 30th birthday. To date I've only done a handbag and am now working on a table runner. I did just do a couple blocks for the Just One Star project. Glad to have you here; I bet I'll be learning allot from you.

I have done some quilts for my sons but they refuse to use them. They keep them in their closet so nothing happens to them, I guess that's a good thing. I have made some throw size quilts and I just finished a tabletopper that I will be giving as a gift and then the baby quilt that I designed for my nephew. Sounds like you are off to a good start on the new hobby. I would like to find something to use precut strips or jellyrolls for. I have some of those on hand. You will have to post a picture of your quilt when you get it done I bet it turns out great! I need to get a quilt made for me, I just always seem to have a different project going and no time for one for myself.
