    New at Quilting and Forums

The Missouri Star Quilting tutorials were great! I'm taking a beginner's quilt class, but it's moving along sort of slow. So I found this site and I've learned so much already. I spent a few hours learning mitered corners yesterday. There are so many ways to make them and I finally found a way that my mind could comprehend. There is so much to learn! I hope I've posted this correctly. Threads and icons, tags, and codes - oh my!

Welcome to the forum. MSQC has some of the best tutorials I've ever seen.

I didn't take classes soon enough, so I learned how to do things all the wrong (hard) way. Glad to hear you're taking classes but as with other things there are many ways to do things and you'll want to stick with what works for you. Be sure you ask questions and I'm sure someone here will have an answer.

Every one of us were new to quilting at some point. I still feel like a newbie after close to 3 years...always something new to learn.
        Enjoy your new found hobby!
