    Hello from a new member

Hi there all. Been sewing since the 70s and rediscovered quilting during COVID. Never knew my grandmother who passed when I was 2, but she and her brothers and sisters quilted as their social every week back in the early to mid 1900s. Proud to carry on a family tradition that I was told about last year!!! Hope to learn more from everyone.

Welcome from Wisconsin! Where are you from? You should slide into quilting very easily since you already know how to sew. One big difference is a quilt seam is 1/4 inch not 5/8. Lol that's practically all I know about regular sewing!

Howdy & welcome from Texas! Glad to have you here. I made one quilt in my early 20's (almost 60 years ago) and didn't pick it back up until 2001. By that time a lot had changed in the quilting world. I had no idea what a rotary cutter, etc. was when I started my second quilt. I learned most from the internet & a couple of classes that I took at a quilt shop. Ask as many questions as you can dream up. Someone will be here to help you!
