What if you woke up today and the only things you had were the things you thanked God for yesterday? :icon_hug:quilting trish

Hi Patti, I've been quilting for about 10 years now. Not real advanced but trying to learn more all the time. This is the first social site I have ever joined so I'ts a little new for me to be conversing with others over the computer. How about you? Been quilting long?

            Re: Hi from Michigan

I started quilting in 1976 and am pretty much self taught. I quit a few years ago but got back into it when I was going through a bad time and decided I needed a hobby to keep my mind busy. Boy was I surprised at the changes that had come about in the quilting industry such as pre cuts and now it was more than acceptable to machine quilt!
That was about a year and a half ago and I am now fully addicted again! This site really was the beginning of that with the daily deal and wonderful tutorials. It is a little strange to have such nice friends that you have never met and wouldn't recognize if they walked by you on the street, but it feels like family on here and everyone is so encouraging. I get so inspired to sew when I see all the beautiful things that people post pics of!
Where are you in Michigan? I was born and spent most of my life in Ludington.
