I'm 39 and starting my first quilt! My great-grandmother was the quilt maker in the family...I only wish I would have known 20 years ago that I would one day want to make one..... So anyway, I'm learning on my own (or from what I can gather from the internet).

Welcome. You will get hooked on this forum quick. Everybody is so helpful and friendly. I have been sewing for years and within the last week I have learned several different things. Once I figured out how to get around this website I can't stop looking at everybodys work. Rhonda from Ky.

I was just telling my 16 year old daughter that someday when she is 30 and I am almost 90 that she will be asking me questions about quilting. So, she should pay attention now to save some questions later.
She has made a few blocks and even started a quilt which I finished a few years ago, but just too busy with other things to stay interested right now.
