    Hi From the Bahamas

Hi Everyone! My name is Katie and I'm 33 years old, living in Long Island, The Bahamas. I was a member of this wonderful group several years back and recently rejoined. I have been sewing/ quilting and crafting for almost 20 years now.
In May of last year as an early birthday/ Christmas present I got a Juki Tl2010Q along with a Grace Q-Zone Hoop Frame. At first I truly have to admit it was a bit of a learning curve at first, but with a lot of practice and a ton of patience, I'm getting much better. Since then I have been able to quilt several wallhanging and table runner projects on there, including my recent quilt finish the Dream Big Quilt Panel.
My current project is a cat quilt from a pattern by Carol Armstrong.
    Happy Quilting.Hugs Katie

Well, Indiana can't compete with the Bahamas, but welcome anyway. 😀

Hi! Thank you all for such the warm welcome to the group! Enclosed are some of the photos that I took of my Dream Big Panel, I'll be able to take a full picture of the entire quilt and post it later on this week. I did some of the inner petals with a mix of having my machine both on a off the frame, and mostly the outer petals and the inner border with the machine entirely on the Q-Zone.
When it came time to finish off the quilting of the outer borders, even though I truly wanted to do them on the quilt frame, I couldn't as my family and I recently got a new German Shepherd puppy last month and I had to move my machine to the kitchen table to help keep an eye on her.
Though I know and I'm truly looking forward to working on the quilting part of my cat quilt that I have been finishing up as I will doing the entire fmq with the machine back on the quilt frame.
