The short way to explain it is you take a bunch of different fabrics, cut them in different shapes and sew them back together.

Welcome! I'm going to guess that you're from Portugal because of your forum name: vivelasieste. "Viva la siesta" in Spanish would mean "live the nap" in English. I'm guessing that "vivelasieste" is Portuguese and means pretty much the same thing? Let me know if I'm totally off base!!!
