Hello, I joined the group last week and looking forward to reading more of the posts, I don't think I'll be able to keep up with it all, but I'll do my best.
I live in a small town in West Central Saskatchewan, I started quilting in 2002 and I'm throughly enjoying the learning process, I took sewing in high school, but that was a number of years ago, and was never really good at in and didn't keep it up when I finished the class, so this was a whole new learning process for me. I've made lots of wallhangings and some large quilts, I started out just doing applique and I loved it, the three or four years ago I've been getting into more piecing and I'm also enjoying that too, but still love to applique.
I have 1 son and 2 grandson's and 2 daughter's who are all grown up and gone from home, my son and gradnson's live 5 hours away, so I don't get to see them very often and I miss them so much, but my daughters live about 20 minutes awat from us, so I do see them often, which is great.
We have a small welding/manufacturing business that keeps my hubby and I busy most of the time, and have a big yard and garden as well as a fish pond that we thoroughly enjoy, so quilting in the summer doesn't happen very often, but when we can get away for a few days I pack my sewing machine and a couple of projects into the camper and I'm all set, I love camping and sewing.
I found out about this group and Missouristar Quilt Company by watching some tutorials on the internet, and the tutorials were great, so I decided to check out the website and that's when I found this forum. So now I just need to find my way around here and remember where I post a message so I can go back and read any coments, so if I don't answer someone's question that is probably because I can't find my way back.
