Hi yall, from Tennessee!

I've been quilting for about 6 months, now. Lately though, I seem to be collecting fabric more than I'm making quilts. Gardening is another of my loves, and it's getting cool enough here in Memphis to go outside without risking your life. I'm looking forward to learning, sharing, and enjoying on this site.

Hey Tennessee, I'm also new to the forum and have been quilting just a few months. It's nice to see that I'm not the only newbie here.

Hi Emu. I know exactly what you mean by collecting fabric! I am also new to quilting and am getting quite the stash! I seem to have a penchant for kits! lol Sounds like you have had some warm weather there. I am in Alberta Canada and I don't think we really had a summer this year. I also like to garden. It is difficult here because of the climate but it's still worth gardening. I had a great garden last year but this year it has been so wet it wasn't a good gardening year. I never had to water my garden once this year! Didn't even get the sprinkler out of the shed! lol I am looking forward to winter though. I have lots and lots of fabric that needs to be created into something!

Hello ! Welcome to this forum - its addictive and very friendly. Im from the UK and visited Memphis about 5 years ago and loved it. I went to Gracelands - surprise surprise !!! We travelled all over the deep south - including Nashville, New Orleans and would go back at the blink of an Eye!. Oh dear, Im digressing.....anyway - welcome to the site.

I'm glad you enjoyed the southern U.S. I grew up in it, and it is dear to me...not that it doesnt have its problems. I have visited the UK twice - England once and Scotland. I love it, and was especially taken by Scotland.
