Not just new to the forum either, I'm new to quilting all together! I have my very first quilt top done and you can see it on my blog if you'd like. The address is studentknitter.blogspot.com . As you can guess, I'm a knitter too. hehe I'm looking forward to working with more as I have money to buy fabrics... or perhaps win them in a weekly giveaway?

Welcome!! Believe me...once you start buying fabric you won't stop and before you know it you will have collected a stash beyond your imagination!!

Your things that you have knit or want to knit are beautiful. And so is your quilt. I love the colors. Have you ever thought of doing machine knitting? I bet you would love it.
Your bags that you made are great and I especially like the knitting needle tote.

wow! Thanks for the warm welcome everyone!

I never have thought of machine knitting... I guess you'd have to buy a machine? That's where the "student" part comes in. lol and thank you for all the compliments on my first quilt top! I only have to cut the back and then I'll have someone to the machine quilting for me.

I'm going to surf around and see what I can learn about batting. Like what different kinds and where the best prices are and stuff. Thanks guys!!
