Question about inbox

I added a folder under the inbox, sent etc listings and that worked ok. When I try to drag and drop an applicable read message into that folder nothing happens. How can I move read messages into the appropriate folders? Is this possible? Anyone know?

I don't think you can drag and drop into the different folders. At the far right of each message in the list is a checkbox. Check the ones you want to move, then go to the bottom and click on Selected Messages. Then choose Move to Selected Folder and pick your folder.
