to actually be able to find and read a quilting post on the weekends without endless digging through spam. It really isn't that hard to fix.

Re: It would be nice
I just accidentally clicked on one of those spams earlier today......I normally just leave these posts alone during the week-end because I just don't want to click on something that isn't actually related to our forum here at MSQC.Jacqueline ( Sugar ) Dorer-Russell

I'm being a bit sarcastic, as obviously spam is an incredibly difficult problem to fix when you're the size of traffic we are, but I'll try a few new tweaks today and see if we can put a little time between us and the next wave of attacks

Thanks Bill. I noticed the forum was down for most of the day (at least for me) so I was assuming that perhaps you were working on that. I missed you guys!!
Back in the late 90's before forums and such there were the newsgroups. It eventually had a lot to do with the loss of that venue. The groups that I went to were hit particularly hard because there were a few sexual abuse recovery ones I helped out on. Due to the name with "sexual" in them they were targeted big time with porno spam unfortuntely. It eventually was impossible to rid the tide and come out ahead. Those venues went by the wayside.
I know how difficult it is to maintain spam free site (if it's really possible at all they are so adept and persistent) and the hours and hours that are put into it. Very frustrating.https://forum.missouriquiltco.com/co.../icon_wave.gif
